We
thank God for his guidance and for his will to
activate our Vision of bringing the children to God
through the Bible teaching and other inputs in our
Sunday school. The Lord has been faithful in
building the Christ Church for Children ministry.
The
Lord has blessed our Sunday school with more
committed teachers who put their heart and soul into
the ministry and not forgetting our children who
desire to come on Sunday school regularly to learn
the Word of God. We also want to thank God for the
dedicated parents who reinforce what their children
learn.
To
bring about togetherness, yearly picnics are held
where children get an opportunity to have fellowship
with one another. Following that other interesting
activities were planned to meet the physical and
spiritual need of our children and also our parents.
For
instance 2 children’s camps were organized where the
children learnt more about the word and experienced
the touch of the Holy Spirit. A talent time day was
introduced to allow our children to show their
talents through singing, story telling, Bible verse
reciting and also dressing up in biblical
characters. The children were enthusiastic and
excited and the parents too showed their commitment
and enthusiasm in training their children for this
talent time. Talks were arranged for parents to help
them bring up their children according to the Word
of God. Parents who attended these talks were
blessed and enlightened.
We
realize that our Sunday school children have come to
enjoy singing and giving testimonies in our assembly
time. Many children openly shared their problems
with their teachers who gave them a lot of
encouragement. The Sunday school children have
participated in our Parish day by doing musical
drama on the nativity scene which touched many who
attended this day. And also a dance was
choreographed for our older girls who danced
gracefully.
To
conclude, Glory be to God for his help and guidance
in leading our Children Ministry and also for our
committed children whom He has blessed with many
talents. We also thank Him for answering our prayer
in improving Children Ministry. Thanks be to God for
His faithfulness for all these years.
