Notice of AGM 2021:
Notice is hereby given that the 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parish of Christ Church will be held by ZOOM Webinar on Sunday, 16 May 2021 at 10:30 am (SGT). 


Under the relevant amended Order under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020 (Alternative Arrangements for Meetings for Charities, Co-operative Societies, and Mutual Benefit Organisations) Order 2020 S327/2020 (“the Order”) and The Amended Order – S827/2020, please note that the following rules govern the forthcoming AGM of the Parish of Christ Church, which will be conducted virtually. The amendments are applicable till 30 June 2021.

Attendance & Registration

The total number of valid Proxy Voting Forms submitted and the number of Electoral Members attending the Virtual AGM shall be the total number of attendees in the AGM 2021.

  • A member may only vote by appointing the Chairman of the AGM as the member’s proxy to attend, speak and vote at the meeting. This is done by depositing with the Parish an instrument of appointment also known as the Proxy Voting Form.
  • Only members who have registered will obtain the Proxy Voting Form.
  • A member can only vote at the AGM by submitting a completed Proxy Voting Form not later than 7 pm, 14 May 2021.
  • After the Proxy Voting Forms are submitted and counted, the Chairman will announce the results during the AGM.

Privacy Assurance Statement:
Please be advised that the proxy form voting system, as prescribed by law, is an open voting system. We understand that members may have concerns about the secrecy of their votes cast at the forthcoming AGM. The Parish of Christ Church has put into place practicable measures that will ensure that the secrecy of members' votes will be preserved and secured to the fullest extent possible.


At the Pre-AGM on 8 May 2021, 5pm, leadership will respond to questions, clarifications and present resolutions that were submitted via email ( by 29 April 2021, 7pm.

During the Pre-AGM, members may raise related questions, ONLY on the questions that were already submitted by 29 April 2021, 7pm. Leadership will attempt to respond to them or provide responses after the meeting and these responses will be included in the next AGM minutes. Leadership will not accept any new questions during the Pre-AGM.


  1. A member will not be able to attend the AGM in person because of control measures that are currently in place.
  2. A member may only attend the AGM by observing and listening to the proceedings of the meeting by electronic means.
  3. This year’s AGM will be held on 16 May 2021 at 10:30am by Zoom Webinar. Members who intend to be electronically present at the AGM will be required to register online by 12 May 2021.
  4. There will not be an opportunity to raise any questions or matters during the AGM.


Registered Electoral members shall be entitled to participate in the nomination and election of the following positions:

  • People’s Warden

  • Honorary Secretary

  • Honorary Assistant Secretary

  • Honorary Treasurer

  • Honorary Assistant Treasurer

  • Four (4) Parochial Church Council Members

Candidates for election to membership of the PCC shall be on the Electoral Roll of the Parish and must be nominated in writing from one member and seconded by another. Proposers and Seconders are also required to be members on the Parish Electoral Roll.

Electoral Roll

Electoral Roll determines those who are eligible to participate in the AGM, vote or be elected at the AGM onto the Parochial Church Council. According to our Parish Constitution, Electoral Members shall be baptised members, be at least 17 years of age and be confirmed in the Anglican Church.

Annual Report 2020

Upon registration, Electoral Members will be given a password to view the Annual Report 2021 on the Website.

It will consist of:

Proxy Voting Form

Electoral members of the Parish will be able to vote at the AGM by submitting a Proxy Voting Form. Through the proxy voting form, members shall appoint the Chairman of the AGM as the member’s proxy to attend, speak and vote at the meeting.

Proxy Voting Forms will contain the names with photographs of all those who have been nominated to be elected as PCC Members. In addition, Proxy Voting Forms will also contain the details of reports and proposals to be accepted as given below:

Resolution 1: To accept the Minutes of AGM 2020

Resolution 2: To accept the Ministry Reports 2020

Resolution 3: To accept the Audited Financial Statements of 2020

Resolution 4: To accept the proposed Budget for the year 2021

Resolution 5: To accept the appointment of the Auditor for 2021

Resolution 6: To accept that PCC will appoint suitable candidates for all positions in the PCC 2021 unfilled after voting through the Proxy Voting Forms

Resolution 7: Other resolutions (if any)

Members will indicate either ‘FOR or AGAINST or ABSTAIN’ for each of the above Resolutions.

Proxy Voting Forms will be sent to Electoral Members who have registered for participating in the AGM via a link to access the form on 9 May 2021. Completed Proxy Voting Forms shall be submitted electronically by 14 May 2021, 7:00pm.
